"Sensitivity is a wonderful quality of human nature.  However, it is best when tempered with a bit of steel.  Surviving and flourishing in the mainstream of daily living demands a special blend of sensitivity and strength.  This is especially true when one is different ... as being without like or equal ... unique (varying from the usual or ordinary) ... outside of that which is the accepted norm.  I stand straight and tall ... walk boldly and confidently ... smile and nurture a sense of humour ... learn humility and am awed by the miracle of each moment ... going about each day with a purpose.  I carry a big stick.  I know how and when to use it." ...                                                 Hope

We are all driven by something.
What keeps us going is that hope springs eternal.
We are mired in an irrational wallow of dreams and ideals.
Every cynic is a destroyed idealist.
A thing is necessary to an end or effect ... absolute prerequisite to
                                    honest cynicism.
We loose a shaft at sarcasm and hit truth between the eyes.

                                       Honor

It is said that a man is never truly honored until he has a street or road named after him.

I have been honored in the spring of 2008 with a road named after me.
